Coach Rico. Born and raised on Kaua’i and the North Shore of O‘ahu, Rico Jimenez grew up playing soccer, surfing and fishing. He earned a purple belt in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu, training at the the world-renowned Boar’s Nest. At the age of 23, he became a professional surfer, eventually earning the role of Oakley Hawai’i Surf Team Coach/Manager. Rico is currently RVCA Hawai’i’s Team Manager. In 2013, he added CrossFit to his professional training, discovering his true physical and mental potentials as an athlete. Rico’s passion is to help others reach their highest potential by achieving their goals. His measurement of success in life lies within Rico’s ability to serve and help others which he finds more gratifying and joyful than any other personal achievement. He holds certifications with International Sports Science Association in Strength and Conditioning, Personal Training, and CrossFit Level 1.
Coach Shane. Raised on Kaua’i, Shane grew up with a passion of fishing, surfing, skateboarding, and hunting chicken in the valleys of Kalaheo. He served in the United States Marine Corps during Desert Storm. After traveling the world he came back to the islands and has been in the health industry for 20 yrs. His goals are to help people in mulitple aspects in life, preserve our land, water, and Hawaiian culture. He currently holds a CFL1 Certification, Mobility Certification, Rock Tape Mobility Certification, National College of Personal Training Certification, CrossFit Kids Certification and recently joining Moana Nui, a hui of Lomi practitioners. His greatest love in life are his children, Ariel, Makana, & Akira. His aspiration in life is to build a legacy for them by developing programs for at risk you children.
